Merrick Architecture - Borowski Sakumoto Fligg Ltd. has applied to the City of Vancouver to rezone 1265-1281 Howe Street and 803-821 Drake Street from DD (Downtown District) to CD-1 (Comprehensive Development) District. The purpose of the rezoning is to permit the re-development of this site with a 41-storey residential tower and a mixed-use podium, consisting of 258,204 square feet (23 988 square metres) in project floor area, 348 dwelling units, 17 artist studios and 4,224 square feet (392 square metres) of retail uses. The proposed building would have a floor space ratio (FSR) of 9.58, a height of 375 feet, and contain 321 parking stalls. Council will also consider a Single Room Accommodation (SRA) Demolition Permit.
This application has been approved by Council at Public Hearing on April 16, 2012.
