dys architecture has applied to the City of Vancouver to amend the CD-1 (Comprehensive Development) District to permit the development of a a Child Care Centre as well as Family-Stay and Respite Housing. The Child Care Facility would be 1-storey in height. The Family-Stay and Respite Housing would comprise several buildings between 3.5-storeys (fronting Heather Street) and 4-storeys in height (fronting the interior Ring Road of the Children's and Women's Health Centre of BC). The existing floor space ratio (FSR) at the site is 0.72, and this application seeks to increase the FSR to approximately 0.76 (the existing CD-1 allows 0.85 FSR). The existing density of the site is 135,509 sq. m, and this application seeks to increase the density to 142,479 sq. m.
This application has been approved by Council at Public Hearing on October 18, 2011.
