In July 2023, we created the Hospitality Working Group. The group consists of representatives from across the hospitality sector and City staff. Its goals are to:
- Think about ways to further improve licensing timelines
- Review the City year-round patio program
- Evaluate how to simplify regulations for lounges at breweries and distilleries
- Explore ways to streamline approvals for fire occupancy permits
- Find opportunities to streamline timelines for provincial and municipal liquor-licensing
