The Public Realm Electrification Program is a coordinated strategy to provide power for multiple uses in the public realm to help transition to renewable clean sources of energy.
The strategy includes building a network of conduit and power connections for use by the film industry, food trucks, special events, e-bike, and electrical vehicle charging stations.
Program framework
- Achieve the goals of the Climate Emergency Response by expanding the public charging network for needs such as film and food trucks
- Accelerate Transportation 2040 goals by making cycling more convenient (e-bike charging)
- Implement the Special Event Policy PDF file (111 KB) and green power requirements
