A call for Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh artists
We’re building a 28-storey mixed-use development at 95 Nelson Street in Northeast False Creek, with completion expected in summer 2028.
Artists from the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, and səlilwətaɬ Nations are invited to design graphic tile artwork for the housing, firehall and childcare entrances at ground level.
Land acknowledgement
We respectfully acknowledge that Vancouver is situated on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam Indian Band), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh Nation) who have stewarded these lands, air, and waters since time immemorial.
We are excited about the opportunity to support xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw, and səlilwətaɬ cultural presence in the public realm through this call.
We would like to express our gratitude to local Nations’ staff collaborating on this work, and to local Nations’ artists.
