Woman having blood pressure checked

Free blood pressure clinics

Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services provides free blood pressure screening clinics at various locations in Vancouver.

Heart disease has no obvious signs, and the most important treatment for heart disease is prevention. Unfortunately, most people don't find out about heart disease until someone they know suffers a heart attack or stroke.

Wellness screening helps to detect conditions that may lead to heart disease before they cause a life-threatening emergency.

Our firefighter technicians review your results and give you a record card that you can take to your doctor.

About the program

The Vancouver Firefighters CPR + First Aid program is a non-profit society as a joint project between Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services and the International Association of Firefighters Union Local 18.

It was established in 1997 to provide life-saving CPR training to the public, and is managed and run entirely by professional firefighters during their off-duty hours.
