Cambie Corridor Planning Program: Phase 3 – Areas proposed for change

The areas proposed for change along the Cambie Corridor are to clarify the land uses and scale of development that we'll consider over the long-term. We developed the areas through a detailed block-by-block analysis, surveys, walking tours with residents, coffee chats, site visits, public workshops, and our open house events.

The areas proposed for change will:

  • Support transit-oriented development
  • Introduce abundant ground-oriented and family-friendly housing options, such as townhouses
  • Provide appropriate transitions in scale from the high-density core areas along major streets to the surrounding single-family neighbourhoods
  • Provide housing that is affordable to a diverse population

In spring 2016, we heard from you about the focus areas we're exploring for potential change as part of Phase 3 of the Cambie Corridor Planning Program. Based on your input, we refined the areas that we're proposing for change.

  • Information board 1 shows the Phase 3 areas proposed for change in addition to areas previously approved for change as part of the Cambie Corridor Plan Phase 2 (2011) and Marpole Community Plan (2014).
  • Information boards 2 to 5 provide important information about how the areas proposed for change will be implemented over time, address housing priorities, and introduce a diversity of housing options.
