What's happeningPlanned work and restoration
Demolition of the collapsed crane was completed on August 27. Repairs to nearby roads and infrastructure are now underway.
The process following the fire is complex and involves multiple steps, equipment, qualified workers, regulations, and safety considerations. This work is a joint effort involving the property owner, contractors, the City of Vancouver, and relevant organizations such as WorkSafeBC.
Our goal is to minimize the impact on residents and traffic and complete the restoration work as fast as safely possible.
We thank you for your patience while this work is underway.
