Request a fire incident report online

As outlined in the Vancouver Fire By-Law, reports are provided as a fee-for-service. The fee depends on the type of incident and may change if the by-law is updated.

• Standard reports: Minimum charge is $130, billed at a rate of $130 for each hour or part of an hour, plus GST
• Reports with photos (Fire investigator attended): Minimum charge is $260, plus GST

Note Invoices are issued by the City of Vancouver after the report is released.

What to include in your email

• Incident type
• Incident date
• Incident location
• Names of all people involved in the incident, if known
• Fire department case number
• Your file or reference number

What to also include in your email if you're requesting on the behalf of someone

• Signed consent form
• Legal company name
• Your contact information
  • Full mailing address
  • Phone number
  • Email address

Note Reports are released only after all investigations are complete.
