Set up an online account. You will need your access code. It can be found on your tax notice.

Main taxes: July 3, 2024

Home owner grant: July 3, 2024 (Grant may be claimed once the main tax notice is received.)

An advance tax notice
You may not get an advance tax notice when you:
- Buy a recently subdivided or stratified property. The advance tax is based on the previous year’s taxes. If the previous year’s taxes were billed to the “parent” property of a subdivision, the taxes for the next year will be billed to the newly-created properties for the full year in the main tax notice.
- Buy an existing property, and we haven't been notified that you’re the new owner yet. Check the documents you received for the sale, or ask your lawyer or notary to get the tax notice from the previous owner.
A main tax notice
You may not get a main tax notice when you:
- Buy a recently subdivided or stratified property. The property tax may have been billed to the “parent” property of a subdivision. Confirm with your lawyer or notary that your portion of taxes were adjusted as part of the sale.
- Buy an existing property, and we haven't been notified that you’re the new owner yet. Check the documents you received for the sale.

If you’ve received a property tax notice for a property you no longer own you are not responsible for paying the property tax.

Please either:

Send the property tax notice to the new owner of the property
Return the property tax notice to Revenue Services by mail to: Revenue Services, City of Vancouver, PO Box 7747 Vancouver, BC V6B 8R1
