Tips to help you have a great online registration experience

When a space becomes available, the first person on the waitlist will automatically receive an email from [email protected] inviting them to register.

Complete registration within 24 hours

  • Complete your registration within 24 hours of receiving the email invitation.
  • Register online through the email invitation link, by phone, or in person.
  • If you do not register within 24 hours, you’ll be removed from that waitlist and the next person will be invited.
  • If you register for a class, you’ll automatically be removed from other waitlists for the same lesson level at the same pool.
  • The name on the waitlist must match the name of the person registering.

Check your email

Email invitations are sent automatically when a space becomes available and may arrive at any time. Check your junk and spam folders and add [email protected] to your safe sender list.

 If you do not have an email address, we will contact you by phone.

With the registration system, you can:

  • Register for programs at community centres, arenas, and pools
  • Reserve space at outdoor sports facilities and arenas
  • Buy and renew fitness passes

1. Have your login name and password ready

  2. Click "Sign In”
  3. Login with your email address and password

New to the online system?

  1. Go to recreation.vancouver.ca
  2. Click “Create an account” to set up your profile and password before registration opens
    The new system requires you to have an email address to access your account.

 If you are enrolling children or family members, you will need to add them to your account for registration. Registration will be limited based on the birth date entered for the registrant. If you do not set up children or family members when creating your account, there is an opportunity to do so before checkout.

2. Pick your classes ahead of time

Select your classes or activities before registration starts and create a wish list. Keep in mind this doesn’t guarantee a spot. When registration opens, return to recreation.vancouver.ca and complete your transaction. It’s a good idea to have some backup classes just in case your preferred class is full.
