The cultural amenity space is located on levels 2 and 3 of a 47 storey mixed-use building at 1157 Burrard Street.
The intended use and goals for the space are to:
- Serve as a dedicated space for local non-profit arts and culture administrative use
- Provide affordable and accessible cultural space on a cost-recovery basis that balances sustainability and affordability
- Support and amplify the artistic practices and voices of artists from Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations, Indigenous communities, and equity-deserving communities
Key features
- Approximately 14,000 square feet of space over levels 2 and 3
- Facilities for non-profit arts and culture administration including:
- Office and administration space
- Meeting rooms
- Multipurpose room (approximately 1300 square feet on level 3) that can be used for hosting occasional events
The space will be finished and equipped (excluding furniture and other specialized equipment).
