False Creek with a view of Granville and Burrard bridges

Granville Bridge

Inspections and maintenance

We own and maintain more than 40 bridge structures across the city, ranging from vehicular and pedestrian bridges, to viaducts, overpasses and underpasses.

Inspections and maintenance work are conducted on a regular basis on these structures, so they can continue to provide a safe and reliable transportation route.

The Granville Bridge, built in 1954, connects Vancouver to downtown by Granville Street.

It’s one of the our 3 main bridges across False Creek, with the Cambie Bridge to the east and the Burrard Bridge to the west.
