A-Frame Activation: Host Nations’ Cultural Residency at Second Beach

The Vancouver Park is requesting applications for artists, cultural practitioners, and creators from Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and sə̓lílwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) to work in and activate an A-Frame building within their unceded territories, near Second Beach in what is now known as Stanley Park.

Musqueam artist, Chrystal Sparrow, was the first activator at the A-Frame and the opportunity is now being offered to Squamish or Tsleil-Waututh applicants.

Compensation: The selected artist will be provided $10,000 per year, which includes supply costs. Staff can assist with grant applications.
