

Our Public Art Program invites recently graduated artists to submit their already-existing 2D artworks for consideration on 1 of 5 of our billboards along the Arbutus Greenway, situated between Fir St and Burrard St, adjacent to 6th Ave.
Artist eligibility criteria
This opportunity is open to artists who are:
- Vancouver-based or from xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) or səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) nations
- Graduated within the last year from a BFA, MFA, MA or Fine Arts Diploma program.
Information icon For the purposes of this call, the definition of a Vancouver-based artist is a practitioner who either:
- Lives in Vancouver
- Has a studio in Vancouver
- Has a history of producing work in the city
Commission Details
A selection panel will choose up to 15 artists whose works will be presented on billboards along the Arbutus Greenway for approximately 2 months for each artwork.
Selected artists will be paid a $1500 artist fee for each print-ready digital file. All printing and installation costs will be covered by the the Public Art Program.
