Hillcrest and Killarney are 2 of our most popular indoor swimming pools. Entry wait times may be longer during peak hours and on weekends. For quicker admission, consider visiting a nearby pool.
What you need to know
The Killarney Leisure Pool, located near Rupert and 49th East streets, is an indoor pool with UV-treated water and views of the North Shore mountains. It has a beach-style entry, lap pools, and wheelchair access.
We offer swimming lessons and fitness activities, as well as rental space for swim clubs, schools, and events.

Register for aquafit or swim lessons
Aquafit sessions
Online registration for most swim sessions are no longer required. Advanced online registration for aquafit sessions are still available and highly recommended to secure a spot. A limited number of aquafit drop-in spots are available in person, on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Registration opens 3 days in advance, and closes 30 minutes before the session starts. If you are unable to attend a session for which you have registered, you must cancel in advance by accessing your vanrec.ca account.
Flexipasses and 10-visit passes are accepted for online registration.
Swimming lessons
Swimming lessons are offered for pre-school, children and youth age groups. Infant, toddler, and adult lessons are not available at this time.
Bring a lock for a locker
Bring your own lock to secure your personal items in the lockers. Buy a padlock at the front desk for $16.
Note The pool doesn't have coin-operated lockers.
