How the fund is making a difference

The Housing Accelerator Fund is helping Vancouver move faster on housing delivery by removing long standing barriers such as outdated zoning and lengthy approval processes. HAF funds are also supporting the direct delivery of new social housing, including a 12-unit townhouse development at 3122 SE Marine Drive, using CMHC’s standardized housing designs to enable faster, more cost-effective delivery.

With HAF support, we have updated zoning across Vancouver, streamlined permitting and approvals, and accelerated housing-supportive policies, creating the conditions to deliver more homes sooner. At the same time, funding is supporting the infrastructure needed to ensure growth is matched with livable, complete neighbourhoods.
