Remove your event waste with a business or by yourself

To remove event waste yourself or hire a waste management business, tell us your plans to manage waste and produce a more sustainable event using the green event application form.

If you hold an event in Vancouver, you are responsible for leaving the area clean and litter-free, otherwise you will be charged for City services to clean the area. Do not use existing bins on City and park property.

Estimate how many bins you'll need

We recommend that your event has:

One recycling station (garbage, recycling, and compost bin) per 500 people, at the busiest hour
One recycling station per food preparation station

Contact your service provider to assess the needs of your particular event.

Equipment available for rent

We rent additional greening equipment. You can mix and match what you might need. Learn about the equipment available below.

Quantities are limited and a strong volunteer presence is recommended.

The delivery fee includes all equipment for each event.

Our water refill stations work best for crowds over 200 people.

Requirements:
- Must be delivery by City staff to attach to water source
- Water source must be within 25 feet of the event and drawn from a City facility or fire hydrant
- Multiple day use requires 24 hour security or secure site
- Location must be approved by City of Vancouver
- Each water wagon has 3 re-fill stations and 2 water fountains
