Pay your property tax through your mortgage

COVID-19 update: payments

Sept. 14, 2020: Public access to City Hall is limited at this time. Please make payments online, through your bank, or by mailing or dropping off a cheque. Cash payments are not accepted. Due to physical distancing requirements, we cannot accommodate large lineups inside City Hall – in-person payments are discouraged. If you choose to pay in person, please come prepared to wait outside.

You can pay your property tax through your mortgage payments. This is an easy way to be sure that you pay your property tax on time.

Be sure to check who is responsible for sending your payment: you, or your lender.

You cannot pay your Empty Homes Tax (Vacancy Tax) through your mortgage.
