While we are active in supporting access to quality childcare through facility creation, grants, and partnerships, we do not manage childcare facilities or maintain waiting lists for childcare spaces.
All City-facilitated childcare programs are managed by independent non-profit operators or community centre associations. Enrolment policies and waiting lists are established and maintained by the operator of each facility.
Find childcare in Vancouver
To find childcare programs, the Westcoast Child Care Resource Centre can help.
This non-profit centre provides information, referrals, training, and resources to families and individuals who are looking for care and early learning for children.
They also maintain online listings of all licensed and registered childcare facilities in the city.
Programs operated by community centre associations
Twenty-one of Vancouver’s community centres are operated in collaboration with community centre associations who design and operate programs that reflect local needs. Many community centre associations operate licensed preschool or school age childcare.
