  Paid parking in effect, free for community centre users

  Paid parking pilot begins mid-February 2026

  As of February 17, 2026, paid parking will be in effect at Hillcrest, Kerrisdale, and Trout Lake community centres and adjacent park spaces.

  Free parking for community centre use

  Information icon If you’re using the arena, pool, fitness centre, or library, you can receive 3 hours of free parking. Sign in at the kiosk to activate free parking. After 3 hours, parking is $3.50 for each additional hour.

  Note Each ice rink has a limited number of skate rentals and helmets available for public skates and Park Board skate lessons. Helmets are free of charge.

  Helmet policy for skating activities

  Anyone participating in skating classes, lessons, and programs must wear a CSA-certified hockey or snowboard helmet. You are also encouraged to wear a helmet at public skate times.

  Note Cycling helmets are not permitted.
