Pickleball

What you need to know

Pickleball is a fun sport played both indoors and outdoors. Played on a court with similar dimensions to badminton, pickleball borrows many of its rules from other racquet sports such as tennis and table tennis.

It is easy for beginners to learn and is a great sport for all ages and abilities.

We offer classes to all ages and skill levels all year. Register for a program or join a drop-in class at a community centre near you.

Where to play pickleball

Vancouver has pickleball courts in specific locations across the city.

Casual pickleball play is on a first come, first served basis. If people are waiting to use the courts, the players have 30 minutes maximum time to play before surrendering the court.

Public courts are not available for rentals except for school use and community centre programs. Pickleball courts are not lit for evening play.

Join a pickleball league

Most clubs, teams, and leagues are maintained by organizations that are affiliated with Sport BC. Sports BC can help you find a club, team, or league in your area.
