Vancouver offers many great waterways for paddling and boating in a variety of vessels including:

  • Canoes
  • Sailboats
  • Motorized boats
  • Dragonboats

For your safety 

  • Boats and windsurfers must stay at least 300m from swimming beaches
  • Windsurfing is only permitted from Locarno and Kitsilano beaches
  • On a trial basis, kiteboarding is only permitted from Spanish Banks Beach
