Vancouver’s Pride Week celebrations occur every year in late July and early August. During this time, members of the Two-Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Gender Diverse, and Intersex (2SLGBTQIA+) communities come together to celebrate living their authentic lives, and to appreciate the important progress made towards realizing equity and understanding, alongside friends and allies.
As a City, we value our unique differences, see them as our shared strength, and stand against discrimination. Our commitment remains steadfast in combatting all forms of bigotry, including homophobia and transphobia, while providing support and protection for the most equity-denied members within the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. Together, we're working towards a future where everyone feels safe to live their authentic lives.
What's happeningJoin us at the Vancouver Pride Parade
Celebrate 2SLGBTQIA+ communities at the Vancouver Pride Parade on Sunday, August 4, noon to 3pm.
Join the City of Vancouver and the Vancouver Pride Society, 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, queer-serving organizations, and allies, as we march together on our accessible parade route, starting from the West End and ending at Science World.
Now in its second year, this 3.1 km route will feature over 100 local community groups, non-profit organizations, businesses, and more, all proudly highlighting their support for the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
