Launch Pad is a new project by the Public Art Program designed to provide opportunities for recent xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), and Vancouver-based graduates from art and design institutions to enter into the field of public art.
Starting in October 2024 and running until October 2025, 5 billboard spaces along the Arbutus Greenway, between Fir Street and Burrard Street on West 6th Avenue, will feature the works of 20 recent graduates over the next year. These exhibitions will rotate, with each series displayed for approximately 6 weeks.
