Fall online tree sale

Every tree is part of the urban forest. Help grow Vancouver’s urban forest canopy and contribute to the goal of increasing city-wide canopy cover to 30% by 2050.

Online tree sale starts Monday, October 6, 2025, at 9am

Park Board is bringing back its annual fall tree sale. Discounted trees for planting on private property will be available for purchase online for $15 each.

Pickup details

 Trees are available only to Vancouver residents, with a limit of 3 trees for each household.

You can choose from varieties of ornamental, deciduous, coniferous, and fruit trees for different size yards or to grow in large planter pots.

Ornamental trees

Orange Dream Japanese Maple (Acer palmatum 'Orange Dream')

Award-winning medium tree with golden spring leaves edged pink, chartreuse summer foliage, and orange-yellow fall color. Grows to 25 feet.

Seiryu Laceleaf Japanese Maple (Acer palmatum dissectum 'Seiryu')

Upright dissectum maple with fern-like leaves, red-edged in spring, green in summer, and gold, orange, and crimson in fall. Grows to 15 feet.

Japanese Maple (Acer palmatum)

Classic Japanese maple with graceful form and finely cut leaves. Fall foliage dazzles in golden-yellow, red-purple, and bronze. Grows to 25 feet.

Ginkgo Gold Spire (Ginkgo biloba Gold Spire)

Narrow, upright tree ideal for small yards or tight spaces. Fan-shaped leaves turn bright yellow to gold in fall. Grows to 20 feet.

Marina Strawberry Tree (Arbutus x Marina)

Evergreen tree with dense crown and cinnamon bark. Pink flowers and strawberry-like red-yellow fruit appear in fall and winter. Grows to 30 feet.

Little Gem large-flowered Magnolia (Magnolia grandiflora “Little Gem”)

Broadleaf evergreen with glossy dark foliage and white citrus-scented flowers from spring to fall. Full sun to part shade. Grows to 20 feet.

Temple of Bloom Seven-Son Flower (Heptacodium ‘Temple of Bloom’)

Unique tree with year-round appeal. Fragrant white flowers in late summer and red bracts add fall colour. Grows to 20 feet.

Genie Magnolia (Magnolia x Genie)

Small tree with fragrant rich maroon-purple tulip shaped flowers 6 inches across, blooms mid-spring. Full sun to part shade. Grows to 12 feet.

Garden Gems® Amethyst Cercis (Cercis canadensis Garden Gems® Amethyst)

Compact tree and great focal point for small gardens. Early spring pink-purple blooms and burgundy heart-shaped leaves. Grows to 10 feet.

Native deciduous trees

Vine Maple (Acer circinatum)

Popular native tree with graceful habit. Autumn leaves turn yellow in shade and orange or scarlet in sun. Supports wildlife. Grows to 30 feet.

Saskatoon Serviceberry (Amelanchier alnifolia)

Native shrub-like tree with white spring flowers and edible purple-blue summer berries. Supports pollinators and wildlife. Grows to 15 feet.

Coniferous trees

Feelin’ Blue Deodar Cedar (Cedrus deodara Feelin' Blue)

Eye-catching blue conifer with a spreading habit. Train upright or let it cascade along the ground or walls. Grows to 12 feet.

Fruit trees

Honeycrisp™ Apple (Malus Honey Crisp ™)

Large, crisp, juicy late-season apples with red-over-yellow skin. Great for eating, cooking, and juicing. Grows to 15 feet.

Zestar!® Apple (Apple (Malus) Zestar!®)

Cold-hardy early-season apple, crisp, and juicy. Red with yellow undercolour. Great fresh, baked, or cooked. Grows 15 feet.

Sugar Cane Jujube (Ziziphus jujuba ‘Sugar Cane’)

Attractive bark and foliage. Sweet, apple-like fruit. Drought tolerant. Self-fertile, but fruits better with another cultivar. Grows to 20 feet.

Brookgold plum (Prunus ‘Brookgold’)

Golden-yellow, sweet, juicy fruit in late summer. Great for eating, cooking, and canning. Needs another plum. Not self-fertile. Grows to 15 feet.

Apple quince 'Champion' (Cydonia oblonga 'Champion')

Quince with large, fragrant yellow-green fruit that turns pink when cooked. Great for jams and desserts. Self-pollinating. Grows to 12 feet.

Desert King Fig (Ficus carica ‘Desert King’)

Early-ripening fig that produces well in cool summers. Large, sweet yellow-green fruit with reddish flesh. Self-pollinating. Grows to 25 feet.

Violette de Bordeaux Fig (Ficus carica ‘Violette De Bordeaux’)

Compact fig with 2 crops each season. Small to medium fruit, dark purple skin, sweet berry and honey flavour. Self-pollinating. Grows to 10 feet.
