Explore our parks during National Indigenous History Month

We acknowledge that Vancouver is located on the unceded traditional homelands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

We are deeply grateful to those who have stewarded these lands since time immemorial.

June is National Indigenous History Month and June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day.

Take this time to learn and reflect on the unique cultures, traditions, achievements, and experiences of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit. It's a time to honour the stories and resilience of Indigenous Peoples who continue to contribute and shape Vancouver.

Join us in celebrating Indigenous culture throughout June — from exploring artwork in parks to taking part in events and activities across Vancouver.
