Summer Patio Program
The Summer Patio Program runs from April 1 to October 31. This program has a simplified permit process with 2 permit types depending on where the patio is located.
Important note If you have a valid liquor license, patios under the Summer Patio Program are eligible for liquor service if you obtain Liquor and cannabis regulation (LCRB) approval for your patio (requires a separate application to LCRB).
Annual Patio Program
The Annual Patio Program may be used year-round. Permits are required to be renewed annually and run from April 1 to March 31 every year. This is a full review process with additional requirements, and has 1 permit type.
