Killarney Seniors Centre

The long-awaited Killarney Seniors Centre officially opens June 28, 2018 during a community celebration.

The Killarney Seniors Centre will provide southeast Vancouver’s growing senior population with opportunities for socializing, healthy meals, and physical activity, which play a key role in keeping seniors healthy and independent. 

Funding for the $7.5 million centre came from the Government of Canada, Government of British Columbia, and City of Vancouver. The Vancouver Park Board provided the land. The Killarney Community Centre Society has been a key supporter of the project.

Register for seniors’ programming

Programs running in the centre this summer include bingo, cribbage, sewing, art, choir, karaoke, low intensity functional training, FAB fitness for all, strength and stretch, yoga, pole walking, and laughing for the health of it. Additional programming and events will be added in fall 2018.
