  Location

  Work will take place along the seawall near Island Park Walk, just west of Granville Island.

• 

  Work hours

  • Work will take place Monday to Friday from 7am to 8pm and weekends as needed.
  • Efforts will be made to provide continuous public use and cause minimal interference or disturbance. 
• 

  Walking and cycling

  • Access to residences, businesses and Granville Island will be maintained at all times.
  • Pedestrian and cycling access will remain throughout the project. Half the width of the seawall will be used for the work area, while a shared path will be maintained for pedestrian and cycling access during construction. Cyclists will be asked to dismount and walk for the length of the work zone alongside pedestrians so please pay attention to traffic control signage for safety.
  • There may be small detours around areas of work to maintain public safety.
  • Watch for signage about temporary changes to seawall access.

  Parking and traffic

  • Watch for No Parking signs as work progresses. A construction loading zone will be intermittently used on Anderson St.
  • A construction preparation area will temporarily occupy 4 to 5 parking spots on West 2nd Ave.
• 

  Noise and vibraton

  Efforts will be made to minimize noise, particularly during early hours, however, some noise is expected due to the nature of this work.
