YVR Aeronautical Noise Management Committee

The Aeronautical Noise Management Committee provides feedback and guidance to the Vancouver International Airport Authority around noise management issues at the airport.

Terms of reference

Meeting frequency

The committee meets four times per year.

Membership

The Noise Management Committee is made up of representatives of the following groups and organizations:

  • Airlines and aircraft operators
  • Air navigation services
  • Citizens of surrounding communities
  • Federal, provincial, and  municipal governments
  • First Nations
  • The health authority
  • Industry associations
  • Vancouver International Airport Authority

Members

Vancouver has two citizen representatives on the committee. They are appointed by City Council, and serve 4-year terms.
