We are currently working on a comprehensive update to our development contribution tools. This update will:
- Incorporate updated growth projections and capital programs
- Recalibrate rates based on economic testing to reflect current market conditions
- Comply with recent provincial legislation
Development contribution tools under review
- Development Cost Levies: Consider adding new eligible spending categories (fire, police, and solid waste) and recalibrate rates
- Amenity Cost Charges: Introduce new tool to fund amenities (for example, community centres, libraries, and other amenities)
- Density Bonus Zoning: Comply with legislative changes
- Inclusionary Zoning: Introduce new tool to deliver affordable housing
- Community Amenity Contribution Policy: Reduce use as new tools are implemented
