Garbage Cart Dimensions
Garbage carts are available in the following sizes: 75, 120, 180, 240 and 360 litres.
Yard Trimmings carts are available in 120, 180, 240 and 360 litres sizes only. The 75 litre cart size is NOT available for Yard Trimmings. Please go to Yard Trimming Carts for more information.

Please note that the 75 litre and 120 litre are the same size. The only difference is that the 75 litre container has a fixed insert so that the interior volume is smaller.

Labelling Your Cart
With a permanent marker, write your address ONLY in the white space provided on the lid. DO NOT write, paint or mark the cart in any other way.
The carts are property of the City of Vancouver and must remain reusable at all times to allow redistribution to other locations in the future. Carts are PERMANENTLY DAMAGED if they are marked outside of the designated white space on the lid. Replacing these carts increases the cost of service for customers.
Order Carts
Each resident is allowed one free change of cart size per calendar year. Any additional changes within the calendar year would be subjected to a $25 fee per change.
