Yard Trimmings Collection
The City of Vancouver provides yard trimmings collection to residential dwellings (single-family, duplex, and rowhouses) as well as some apartments and non-residential properties (see yard trimmings collection at multi-family and non-residential properties).
Yard trimmings are collected by City crews using automated trucks equipped with mechanical arms. Under the automated system, residents dispose their yard trimmings inside City provided wheeled carts.
If you currently receive City yard trimmings collection service, you are now able to add uncooked fruit and vegetable scraps, coffee grounds and filters, teabags, and eggshells into your yard trimmings cart for composting. Please visit Residential Food Scraps Collection for more information.
