I want to landscape the space between my street and the sidewalk. Can I do this?
The City allows residents to garden in their boulevard (the space between the street and the sidewalk) as long as several guidelines are met. To learn more about what plants, locations, and designs are required please visit the the Greenways guidlines web page.
The City of Vancouver's also has a Green Streets Program, a program that provides residents with an opportunity to become volunteer street gardeners in their neighbourhoods by sponsoring a traffic circle or corner bulge garden. Contact 604-873-7204
