Bicycle routes: Heather Bikeway

The Heather Bikeway is a north/south bike route that uses Heather Street to connect the Off-Broadway Bikeway at 7th Ave with the Midtown/Ridgeway Bikeway/Greenway at 37th Avenue. This link has recently been extended further south to Kent Avenue North providing access to Oakridge and Marpole neighbourhoods and a connection to the Canada Line pedestrian/bike bridge over the Fraser River to Richmond. The bikeway also provides good access to five different parks and schools along the route. Van Dunsen Botanical Gardens, Queen Elizabeth Park and Vancouver City Hall are only a few blocks away. Look for the galvanized steel bicycles embedded in the pavement of the traffic circles between 13th Avenue and 22nd Avenues.
