Bicycle routes: Off-Broadway Bikeway

This east/west route parallels Broadway, one of Vancouver's main arterial streets. The bikeway uses 7th and 8th Avenues and connects the Ontario Bikeway with UBC. It passes through the West Point Grey, Kitsilano, Fairview and Mount Pleasant neighbourhoods and provides great access to the business and shopping areas on Broadway and on 4th Avenue through Kitsilano. From the west end of the route at West 8th Avenue and Discovery Street cyclists are treated to a spectacular view of the North Shore mountains, English Bay, downtown Vancouver and beyond. The Off-Broadway Bikeway intersects the Cypress, Heather and Ontario Bikeways and is one of the most popular commuter cycling routes.
