As new and older areas of Vancouver grow and change, transportation studies let the City base transportation plans on proven needs.

Targets and planning objectives are outlined in transportation plans. The 1997 Transportation Plan, for example, set targets up to 2021. With most of these targets already met, new transportation plans are on the horizon. Check the Transportation Plans and Progress Reports to see how Vancouver is doing in terms of walking, bicycling, transit and car use.
