We have two indoor facilities available for rent.
We are currently accepting 2023 and 2024 booking requests. For 2025 inquiries, please reach out to our team for availability. 2025 Booking requests will be accepted starting in early 2024.
The Visitor Centre includes the BMO Great Hall and Peggy Gunn Woodland Hall A and B. These rooms can be rented as one large space or separated into various combinations depending on the needs and size of your event.
All rates subject to GST. Rates are subject to change. Proof of non-profit status is required.

If you are booking an indoor only event and wish to have garden access for your guests, a discounted admission package is available. You are welcome to take wedding photos in the garden, with the addition of the admission package.
The discounted admission packages cover all of your guest's garden entry on the day of your event (during garden hours).
A guest list is required for all events.
Visitor Centre Halls (BMO Great Hall or Woodland Hall A and B) – entry available through rental hall doors.
Floral Hall and Cedar Room - entry through the Visitor Centre.
For all outdoor ceremony events that wish to add an indoor hall option for their reception, we offer special discounted rates. For Heron Lake or Great Lawn events, we offer 40% off of the indoor hall rental portion when booking a full day.
This is a great option to ensure you have rain back-up during your ceremony, and ample time for reception set-up as well. For Heron Lake or Great Lawn events that book an indoor hall for a partial day booking (8am to 4pm, or 5pm to midnight only), we offer a 25% discount on the hall fee.
For Meadow Pond events we offer a 10% discount on all hall rental options.
On weekends (Saturday and Sunday) only from April to October, if you would like to rent the Visitor Centre Halls, you must book all three rooms combined (BMO Great Hall, Peggy Gunn Woodland Hall A and B).
Booking confirmation: A minimum of two months advance booking is required. A $200 or $500 (if serving alcohol) reservation fee or deposit is required to confirm a booking, and a $10.00 SOCAN fee is charged if music is played.
Our unique garden setting is wheelchair accessible, and has ample free parking. We also have a lovely Garden Shop, Truffles Fine Foods café, and catering located on site. Shaughnessy Restaurant is also a short walk away at the northwest side of the parking lot.
When renting the Visitor Centre Halls, a 12% catering fee applies on the food and beverage costs. If you use Truffles Fine Foods, who are located on site, the 12% does not apply. There are no additional catering fees for Floral Hall or the Great Lawn.
All events require liability insurance with the “City of Vancouver and its Board of Parks and Recreation” named as additional insured. If alcohol is being served at your event, $5 million in liability coverage is required. If you will not be serving alcohol, $2 million in liability coverage is required.
A special occasion license is required for any events serving alcohol. Renters are responsible for set up and take down within their booking time frame, and garbage is to be taken to the garbage bins located outside of the building.
Any tenting over 20 feet × 30 feet (60m²) must have a building permit from City of Vancouver Planning and Development Services
Our indoor halls have free WiFi accessibility, however as it is a public network, we cannot guarantee that it will be strong enough for video conferencing style events. It can be accessed on the VanWiFi or VanDusen networks. No password is required.

Drone photography and videography is not permitted on site. Ensure that your photographer is aware prior to your event. Pets are not permitted. Working guide and service dogs are welcome.
Services and garden visits available for your event
Truffles Fine Foods Catering and the Garden Café, Shaughnessy Restaurant, the VanDusengift shop, and the library are available for your convenience.
Special group rate garden admissions are available for purchase when renting any of the above venues.
You are responsible for setting up and taking down all décor, tables, and chairs. It is the responsibility of the renter to make catering and liquor licence arrangements.

2024 booking requests are currently accepted with the option to pay a deposit to secure a date.
2025 booking requests will be accepted starting in early 2024.
