Every tree is part of the urban forest. Help grow the forest canopy and reach our goal of planting 150,000 trees by 2020.

Fall tree sale starts September 10

The Park Board hosts two tree sales annually, one in the spring and one in the fall. The tree sale is intended for Vancouver residents to enhance our urban forest. $10 trees will be available online for purchase starting at 9am on September 10, 2019, with pick up on Saturday, September 21 from 10am to 4pm at Hillcrest Centre.

The next tree sale takes place in spring 2020.

Green treeWhat you need to know before you purchase or pick up your tree

  • Trees are only available to residents of  Vancouver, with a maximum of three trees per household
  • Proof of Vancouver residency must be provided at the time of purchase and pick up to be eligible
  • Receipts can be presented via mobile phone or print out
  • Cash sales of a limited number of unclaimed trees will begin at 2pm on Saturday, September 21
  • If you have purchased a tree and it is not picked up by 2pm, you risk forfeiting it to cash sale with no refund
  • If you purchased a tree by mistake, email to get a refund

 Trees available through the tree sale are not suitable as replacement trees as required by tree removal permits.

Tree rebates available

If you’re unable to participate in the online sale and pick up, you can visit a participating nursery and get $20 off a tree valued at $50 or greater. Check out Figaro’s Garden , Hunter’s Garden Centre , or Gardenworks Lougheed and Mandeville locations for their selections.

Buy trees online

Buy your tree online in advance starting September 10 and pick it up at Nat Bailey Stadium parking lot on Saturday, September 21.
