Traffic calming refers to physical changes on a street to:
- Slow traffic down
- Reduce short-cutting
- Improve safety for all road users
Over the years, community members have shared concerns about vehicle speeds and volumes in the Hastings-Sunrise (Clinton Park Area) neighbourhood.
We want to address traffic issues on local streets in the community through the Neighbourhood Traffic Management Program.
What's happeningImplementation of the traffic calming measures are underway
The 30 km/h neighbourhood slow zone signage was installed in spring 2025.
The installation of the remaining measures has been delayed to 2026. Work is planned to resume in the spring, with most measures anticipated to be completed by late 2026. Review our implementation plan PDF file (4.7 MB)
