Time-limit zones

This parking sign limits vehicles to parking for two hours on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Parking time limits free up on-street parking in busy areas of Vancouver.

Short-term parking in these zones helps maintain the flow of traffic, and free parking space for shoppers, and people doing business.

Watch out for:

  • Time limits displayed on signs
  • Temporary no parking signs for construction, street cleaning, and filming

Parking time-limit zones are enforced under section 17.6 of Street and Traffic Bylaw 2849.

Street & Traffic Bylaw

Regulates traffic, the use of streets, and the size and weight of vehicles that are permitted to travel on City of Vancouver streets.
