Ghost Train in Stanley Park

Ghost Train cancelled for 2021

We look forward to offering the Ghost Train in 2022 and are in the planning process for the Bright Nights event this winter.

Have a safe and happy Halloween!

Each year the Stanley Park Ghost Train takes our riders on a journey through a mystical and magical world, inspired by Halloween and other spooky tales.

Activities in the plaza and farmyard include:

  • Crafts and movies
  • Exhibits by the Stanley Park Ecology Society
  • Our pumpkin patch

Help our partner charities

When you visit Ghost Train, please give generously to our partner charity the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society , by bringing a nutritious, non-perishable food item.

How to buy tickets

Tickets on sale August 16, 2019.

Buy your tickets online  or phone 604-252-3700.

Online ticket sales cut off each morning at 8am. Same day tickets are available onsite at the ticket booth.

Get more BOO for your buck

On select weekday dates in October when you purchase one Ghost Train ticket, get another one free. Visit us on October 15, 16, 21, and 22 to take advantage of this scream of a deal.

Offer is only valid for online tickets.

Buy advance tickets early to avoid sold out rides.

Tickets are sold in half-hour time slots. Several trains will depart within each time slot. Tickets are good for one train ride during the time slot shown on the ticket, and for one entry to the Train Plaza attractions.

Tickets are only good for the date and time shown on the ticket, and are non-refundable.

Buy same-day tickets in person

Is the time slot you want sold out online? A portion of tickets for each night are reserved for on-site purchase, so even if online tickets are sold out for that day, tickets are still available at the ticket booth.  Come early as this event is popular!

On-site ticket sales start at 3pm, Monday to Thursday, and 11am, Friday to Sunday. You can buy same-day tickets only.

Matinee ticket sales cut off at 4:30pm, Friday to Sunday.

Group bookings

Would you like to bring a larger group to the Stanley Park Ghost Train? Make an advanced reservation when online tickets sales begin mid-August. Group tickets aren't sold in person at the Train Plaza.

For corporate groups of 26 and more call 604-252-3663 or email

Group bookings are available on limited dates only, and must be confirmed five days before arriving.

Several trains depart during each half-hour time slot.

Line up at the start of your time slot for shorter waits.

For example, if your time slot is 7pm to 7:30pm, arrive at 7pm and join the line for your time slot. You'll board a train by 7:30pm. All aboard!

Note Ghost Train is a family-friendly event and we suggest parental guidance for children. For a less scary experience, try our matinee train.
