We are partnering with the Vancouver Bandits External website, opens in new tab to upgrade the basketball court at Grays Park.
Planned improvements
- Applying a new surface coating
- Upgrading basketball posts, backboards, hoops, and nets
- Installing new players' benches
- Moving existing baseboards to the outside of the fence for increased safety
- Shifting sidelines and endlines farther from the fence
- Planting 4 new trees in the park to replace the 2 affected trees
Unsolicited proposal from the Bandits
This project began as an unsolicited proposal from the Bandits, a professional basketball team in the Canadian Elite Basketball League.
They are funding this project to improve the court for community basketball players.
