Main and 7th Park

We are planning a new half-block urban park for the Mount Pleasant community at the intersection of Main Street and 7th Avenue.

This new urban park sits at the gateway to Mount Pleasant, one of Vancouver’s most vibrant neighbourhoods, and its design will strive to reflect the needs of the area. 

What's happeningPark construction

With the designs ready to go, construction of the new park at Main and 7th will begin in early 2025.

The new park will be a valuable community space for Mount Pleasant and will greatly improve the neighbourhood’s urban ecological health. With its extensive tree canopy, permeable surfaces, and a large rain garden, the park will filter and slow rainwater from the major intersection and nearby hardscape areas before it enters the storm water system.
