VanDusen Botanical Garden and Bloedel Conservatory offer free regular admission to all self-identifying Indigenous Peoples under the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation’s First Nations, Metis, Inuit (FNMI) Access Policy.
This offer is available in-person at the admission desks and is not valid for special events.
The FNMI policy is informed by the spirit of Truth and Reconciliation, the Vancouver Park Board’s 11 Reconciliation Strategies, and the City of Vancouver’s UNDRIP Action Plan PDF file (614 KB), specifically Action Group 13: Cultural Access.
We work with Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh to support the right of cultural access, review existing policies, and legislation that are barriers to this right, and recommend necessary changes.
