The temporary modular housing at 4480 Kaslo St, Sarah Ross House, has one building with 52 studio homes. All homes are self-contained dwellings with a private bathroom and kitchen. A total of six homes are wheelchair accessible.
This is a supportive housing building. BC Housing selected Atira Women’s Resource Society as the non-profit operator for this site.
The building has been named Sarah Ross House, an early resident of the Collingwood neighbourhood. She was a member of the Neskonlith Indian Band and left Kamloops for Vancouver to escape racism. Generations of her family have resided in the East Vancouver neighbourhood where she lived.
