7430 and 7460 Heather St
The temporary modular housing at 7430 and 7460 Heather St, Reiderman Residence, has two buildings with a total of 78 studio homes. All homes are self-contained dwellings with a private bathroom and kitchen. Fourteen homes are wheelchair accessible.
This is a supportive housing building. BC Housing selected Community Builders Group as the non-profit operator for this site.
The site has been named Reiderman Residence, after Jennie Reiderman. She worked for the non-profit organization, Community Builders, which operates the building. She fought tirelessly for elderly, sick, homeless, and vulnerable people. Reiderman was diagnosed with cancer and died in late 2017. Community Builders wants to operate the building with the same passion and dedication Reiderman inspired in those around her.
