Adanac St upgrades: Boundary Rd to Rupert St

Adanac St is an important east-west connection in our bikeway network and TransLink's regional Major Bikeway Network  .

We're upgrading Adanac St between Rupert St and Boundary Rd to improve safety for people walking, cycling, and rolling.

Construction is expected to begin in 2027.

Proposed design updates for Adanac Street

The updated design (2.5 MB) reflects community feedback on the Hastings-Sunrise (Adanac Overpass) traffic calming plan (2023) and includes:

  • Keeping more parking
  • Improving safety and comfort at the Adanac and Rupert Street intersection
  • Enhancing cycling crossings at intersections

What's happeningAdanac Street upgrades engagement 

The Adanac Street upgrades survey is now closed.

We are currently reviewing community feedback and preparing an engagement summary that will be shared in the next few months. This input will help us improve the proposed design where possible.

Construction is expected to begin in 2027.
