We are unable to indicate where the legal boundary between two properties are and cannot be a party to any disputes between neighbours about fences. This is a civil matter and may require the resolution of small claims court.
Fences that don't require a permit
A fence may be erected along the property lines of a single detached home or duplex dwelling without a permit if the fence is:
- Four feet or less (along the perimeter of the front yard)
- Six feet or less (along the side and rear of the yard)
Over height fence
